Water withdrawal and consumption is monitored in the facilities mainly through meters in the production units (no special water use mapping tool is used). Various water saving measures are applied depending on the production unit in the industrial facilities. Specifically, water use in plant processes is monitored, opportunities are identified based on best available techniques, and then investments are made in water saving systems so that production facilities and cleaning processes are as water efficient as possible. In the majority of cases seawater is reused for cooling processes in order to avoid consumption of fresh water.<\/p>\n
In 2022 seawater withdrawal reached 14% of total water consumption. In addition to reducing the amount of water consumption in our operations, our goal for managing water through circular economy principles is to continuously increase the reuse and recycling of the water resources we use.
